RE: Letter of Recommendation for Debbie Chavez
To whom it may concern,
I have worked in the capacity of School Business Manager/Clerk for Highland School for 14 years. In addition to working in the District Office, I have served in many capacities as Extra-Curricular Activities Advisor where I had more connections with students and teachers here in this small rural community.
I have worked with Debbie Chavez for the two years that she has been at Highland. Debbie is one of those staff members who works hard to put a smile on everyone’s face. She is always positive, active, vivacious and at the same time understanding and compassionate not only with students but with co-workers. She has blended herself into the community quite well which is not always easy in a small close knit community such as Craigmont. Everyone knows who she is and she makes an extra effort to support all community functions even though she only lives part-time in the area. I have appreciated that in her and it is something not all employees see the need for. I think that speaks well of Debbie’s insight into intra-personal connections.
I have also stood outside Debbie’s classrooms and heard the lively discussions and interesting programs she has in her English/Spanish classes and the hallways outside her class are always decorated with student displays. When there is work to be done, you can always count on Debbie to step up and help in anyway she can.
Debbie is one of those people that you come away from not only feeling good about her but more importantly you feel good about yourself. I will miss her greatly.
Sincerely,
Ivy Breen
Business Manager
